Proposed for the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council 2006.
1. Set 44 portable, expandable tables onto the streets of the Financial District of Manhattan
2. Add People. People with bag lunches tired of the air conditioned offices. People who pick up their lunches at busy lunch-houses with no seating. People on vacation. People reading. People looking for a casual way to talk to the cute guy in the building across the way. People in meetings. People in a hurry. People with a little time to park and watch. People who live here hosting big dinner parties in their 'backyard'. People coming to listen to wandering minstrels.
3. Mix in Music. Replicas of rare and world instruments housed in museums uptown should be produced and put in the hands of some of the city's many musicians. The acoustics between the cavernous buildings are tremendous.
