This was my proposal for the NYC Dept of Transportation call for Barrier Beautification proposals.

They are wave patterns inspired by Japanese woodblock artists as an expression of the tides of traffic. Calm chaos.

It had to be something executable by teams of volunteers and stencils. Luckily I love playing with variety within modular tools.
